The Nettlebed and District Good Neighbour Scheme is run by a group of volunteers and organises the following activities:

NETTLEBED VOLUNTEER DRIVERS
We offer lifts to patients of Nettlebed Surgery who do not have access to private or public transport for visits to the doctor and hospitals. Those who need physical assistance should ask their doctor for hospital transport.
Charges are as follows

To Nettlebed, Henley, Wallingford, Watlington, Sonning Common – £10
To Reading  – £15
To Oxford – £20
To Newbury, Bracknell, Windsor  – £25

DOOR-TO-DOOR SHOPPING BUS TO HENLEY EVERY WEEK – FREE
The Henley HandyBus goes at 9.30 am on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays  and the OCC Comet goes at 10.30 am on Thursdays of weeks not covered by the Handybus. This service is for those who do not have access to private or public transport and is provided free thanks to generous support from Parish Councils.

LUNCH CLUB
There is a lunch club at 12 for 12.30 on the first Tuesday of each month in the Village Club. Cost £5. Booking is essential.

COFFEE MORNING
There is a coffee morning at 10 am in the Village Club on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Coffee, tea and cakes are provided free by the volunteers and no booking is required. There is also a raffle.
