Good morning,

My name is Bill Wilber and I’m writing  to see if you might help me with contact information for Annie Gordon; or more likely her daughter, Fiona Gordon who used to own the Small House across from the White Hart hotel in Nettlebed.

My high school crew team (Washington-Lee High School)  stayed at Annie’s house for two weeks in late June and early July 1969 while we were training and competing at the Henley Regatta for the Princess Elizabeth Cup.   Annie, Fiona and a couple of Fiona’s  friends fed us and otherwise  took good care of us those two weeks and I remember telling Fiona at the end or our trip  that if she ever had interest in visiting the United States to see Washington DC and  vicinity, we’d be happy to host her.    That was 50 years ago, and I’m now coordinating the 50th reunion of our high school class’ and  thought it would be wonderful if Fiona would be able to join us for the celebration in October.

I suspect Annie may have already passed  and I haven’t been able to find a reference to Annie or Fiona in Nettlebed.  So, I suspect that the Gordon’s no longer own the property across from the hotel; but, thought I would inquire to see if someone might know or remember Fiona and know how I might get hold of her.

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Bill Wilber
