Dear Sir or Madam,

For a while I have been dealing with Karl Philipp Moritz, a German writer who travelled through England in 1782 (http://hp-plass.jimdo.com). From June 22nd to June 23rd he stayed in Nettlebed. In all probability the inn where he lodged was The Red Lion. Moritz states that the innkeeper was called Illing. Could you acknowledge that a man named Illing ran The Red Lion in June 1782? If not, I would be grateful for information who could answer my question.

In advance, I express my thanks for your efforts.

Regards,

Hans-Peter Plaß
