Dear Editor
You might want to add to what I sent you yesterday that in the last few days my office and I have had conversations with Malthouse Ltd who run the petrol station. It is clear that this decision is being taken because Malthouse Ltd believes the Post Office is not commercially viable and not because the Post Office nationally wants to close it down. We continue to be in touch with Malthouse and hope that, after the Christmas break, we can meet them to pursue the matter. I also have a meeting with the Regional Manager for the Post Office in the diary for early in the New Year and will, of course, discuss this among other things.
With best wishes
John
