Our recent 2018 Nettlebed Art and Craft Show attracted a large number of visitors over an extremely hot and beautiful sunny weekend. We had paintings from some new artists this time as well as some old friends. Craft space again proved so popular that we had to turn some down.

We also had a display of art from Happy Days Preschool children as well as a lovely seascape collage made by the children of Nettlebed School. Both of these were in the foyer as a welcome on our visitors’ arrival.

We sold over £3000 worth of paintings and craft. After paying our artists and covering all our expenses, we have about £1200 to donate to local charities.

For the third year on the trot, Peter Lister won the favourite exhibit. The winning painting was entitled “Verona”.

2019 Nettlebed Art and Craft Show will be held over the

weekend of 3rd and 4th August.

If anyone is interested in joining our committee, please do contact us. We meet about once a month from April to August. We need help with one or more of the following:- advertising in local Parish Magazines; finding companies or businesses to advertise in our catalogue; putting up posters and distributing flyers; and of course to help with running the show over the weekend. “Many hands make light work” is definitely true for this event. We often have a good laugh in between our discussions, and finish off the season with a meal in a local hostelry.
