Our recent 2017 Nettlebed Art and Craft Show attracted a large number of visitors over a beautiful sunny weekend. We had paintings from many new artists this time as well as some old friends. Craft space again proved so popular that we had to turn some down.

We also had a display of art from inmates at HMP Huntercombe, sales of which went directly to Sue Ryder Care and also a display of artwork from the school children. Both of these were in the foyer along with “thank you” letters from those to whom we donated last year.

We sold over £4000 worth of paintings and craft. After paying our artists and covering all our expenses, we have been able to donate £1590 to eight local charities.

This year, the opener was Jo Harris, who has recently started up “The Henley School of Art”

For the second year on the trot, Peter Lister won the favourite exhibit. The winning painting was entitled “Holland Park”.

2018 Nettlebed Art and Craft Show will be held over the

weekend of 4th and 5th August.
