2019 Nettlebed Art and Craft Show, held over the weekend of 3rd and 4th August was again very successful.

We displayed 127 paintings from local artists in a wide variety of media. We were very pleased to sell fourteen of these.  Local craftspeople sold items including jewellery, mosaics, lamps, needlework, woodturning, cards and ceramics.

Our visitors, who came from far and wide including South Africa and New Zealand, voted for their favourite exhibit. This year it was won by Denny Webb, entitling her to a free entry in 2020’s show.

There were displays of artwork from Nettlebed School Art Club and Happy Days Preschool.

We are dividing our proceeds of £1600 between seven local charities.

The proceeds from the sales of refreshments has been donated to the Nettlebed Senior Citizens’ Christmas party.

If anyone is interested in joining our committee, please do contact us. We meet about once a month from April to August. We need help with one or more of the following:- advertising in local Parish Magazines; finding companies or businesses to advertise in the catalogue; putting up posters and distributing flyers; and of course to help with running the show over the weekend. “Many hands make light work” is definitely true for this event. We often have a good laugh in between our discussions, and finish off the season in style with a meal in a local hostelry.

2020 show is 1st and 2nd August
