Please come along to the Annual Parish Meeting on Tuesday, 14th May at 7pm - Village Club (Small Hall) The following groups/organisations will be providing informal updates: The Creamery, Beechcroft Developments, Nettlebed District Commons Conservators, Nettlebed District Good Neighbour Scheme, Citizens Advice, St Bartholomew's Church, Nettlebed Sports Association, Nettlebed Art Society, Nettlebed Royal British Legion, Nettlebed Music and Dancing Club, Quiz League and possibly a few more. Temporary Traffic Regulation Order – S14 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Temporary Road Closure at Nuffield, Kit Lane at RG9 5TD A request has been received from Sunbelt Rentals for a temporary road closure to apply to a section of Road between Whitcalls Lane and English Lane whilst essential civils works to be undertaken, duct lay and 4 new boxes  works are carried out. A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is being made to implement the temporary closure and will operate from 29 April 2024 up to and including 07 May 2024. This will operate between 09:30 and 15:30 weekdays. TM is removed and highway returned to full use by 15.30 every day and over the weekend (The maximum duration of a TTRO on a road is 18 months and on a footpath is 6 months, or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.) At the moment, Nettlebed Parish Council have five members (out of a possible eight) making decisions on behalf of all Nettlebed residents. That’s a lot of responsibility resting on the shoulders of just five people! We are calling out to the community for three new co-opted members – in particular, people who are: interested in the school and playarea or have a head for finances, or are passionate about the environment, or are interested in planning, or are simply interested in making Nettlebed an even better place to live!
