Urgent appeal to dog walkers

What follows is an urgent reminder from the Nettlebed Estate Manager about the importance of dog control. There was a sheep killed by a dog near Nettlebed yesterday, in a field bordering the Estate Road that heads from the Nettlebed church towards Witheridge Hill/Stoke Row.   Can I ask that dog walkers please have complete control of their dogs at all times and if that’s not possible do not let it off the lead?  A dog chasing sheep causes them extreme stress which can kill them even if they are not attacked directly.  In these difficult times, I appreciate that there are more people than normal needing to take exercise in the countryside but I ask that you respect the property of those who farm the land. Thank you in advance. ...

Nettlebed Churchyard Gardeners

No one likes to see a churchyard not tended properly and the work of the Nettlebed Churchyard Gardeners volunteers group is making sure our churchyard looks the best it can. But they need a little help - could that be you? :-) They require someone who would be interested in grass cutting in the churchyard...they meet weekly to attend to the graves, flowerbeds etc and have done so now for 7 years. The churchyard looks its best when the grass has been cut. Please help and pass on the word to anyone you might think can help. If you can help please contact Nan McDonnell on 01491 641710 or on jandnmcd@greenbee.net ...

Website is malfunctioning – sorry

Sorry to have to report we still appear to be having significant issues with our beloved Nettlebed.org site these days. We have worked hard to resolve this but now it seems we are going to have to start all over again as we can't seemingly solve this issue. I know a lot of people are disappointed about this but we aren't able to solve this any other way. We will endeavour to use a new way to get promotion of event and village issues out to the subscribers. ...

Parish Council Survey – let’s try this again…

Parish Council Survey – let’s try this again…

Hello everyone - we are going to have another go at this post because it seems the link we had in directing to the survey wasn't working for some people: so apologies in advance that you are getting this all over again :-) Your Parish Council is very keen that you have a say over the small amount of money they have to spend on the village in the coming year, and rather than decide themselves they have opened this up to a little local consultation on what you feel these public funds should be paying for in and around the village. Thank you to the 45 people who have already contributed but they would very much like even more participation. Whatever you decide they will action ... so have your say today with this 2-3 minute survey on some things already proposed or suggested. If you don't have a say there's no complaining allowed afterwards if you disagree :-)...
