The annual Harvest Festival Service will take place in St.Bartholomew's this coming Sunday, October 7th, at 11 o'clock and we hope every one will come to thank God for the successful Harvest and afterwards join us for a glass of wine and some nibbles.     All are welcome....

The Senior Citizens' Christmas Party committee would like to thank every one who supported us by coming for lunch, gave to our various stalls, donated money, helped by washing up, manning stalls, and shifting tables and chairs. We raised the grand sum of £270 towards this year's party. The party is free for all senior citizen's residing in Nettlebed. It is to be held in the Village Club on Wednesday 12th December. Invitations will be issued nearer the time....

A member of the village who is caring for her husband would be most grateful for support by having someone to sit with him so that she can go out. The request is for two mornings a week for three hours each morning, preferably on Wednesdays and Fridays. If you are able to offer this help on either a paid or voluntary basis, please call Anne Leigh on ‭01491 641394....

The council has received a planning application, reference P18/S3184/DIS, for development work at the following location: Shamrock Port Hill Nettlebed The application is for: Discharge of condition 3 - Trees & Hedges on application ref. P18/S1623/FUL location of existing track from its current position to the end of the garden thereby providing a driveway and parking for Shamrock and a separate track and access from the road to the farm field. The sun is shining....but winter is coming Could anyone in the community help with the storage of Winter salt? The Parish Council needs to store approx. 25 x 25kg bags (or 75 x 10kg bags, or 7 x bulk bags). The delivery location MUST be accessible by a large bulk crane lift lorry. There will be NO fork lift facilities available for delivery (unless supplied by the recipient at the time of delivery). All bags will be HIAB (crane) lifted from the lorry and will not be able to be placed in 'small sheds' or awkward location. Any offers, or suggestions of who I could approach would be very welcome. World’s Biggest Coffee Morning - Friday 28th September - Village Hall at Russells Water 10.30am – 12.00pm. Come along for coffee and cake and help raise funds for Macmillan, an amazing charity helping those with cancer....

Saturday 29th September at Nettlebed Village Club 12 TIL 2pm Fundraising Lunch.  All funds raised go to help run the for the Senior Citizens Christmas Lunch. Pop along for a chat with neighbours and help support this special cause.
