Ist Nettlebed Brownies ( Founded in 1969)  Nettlebed  Brownies have started their meetings again. The lovely weather has made meeting outside a real  bonus. We are working on the Anglia Buzz Challenge Badge consisting of six themes, our aim is to have completed this by the end of the Term.  We currently have spaces  for girls aged between 7 and 10 years of age. Nettlebed Parish Council has a vacancy for a Parish Councillor. Do you want to make a positive difference in our village? Would you like to influence decisions that affect your community? You need to be willing to give up some of your time. How much depends on you and your commitment to work for your community without being paid. Parish Council meets once a month (except August & December) usually on the first Tuesday of the month at the Village Club. Meetings normally last around 1-2 hours. You must be 18 or over, an elector and have been a resident or worked within 3 mils of the Parish for the last year. 20’s Plenty for Oxfordshire

With residents help 20mph could be recognised as the speed limit through Nettlebed. Nettlebed Parish Councillors will be distributing ‘20’s Plenty’ wheelie bin stickers to homes along the High Street and Watlington Street in an effort to help reduce the speed of traffic coming through the village. If you are delivered a sticker and do not want it (or don’t have a wheelie bin), would you please contact the Parish Clerk and we can arrange for it to be collected. IN BRITISH SOCIAL ATTITUDES SURVEYS THREE QUARTERS OF PEOPLE SAY 20MPH IS THE RIGHT LIMIT FOR MOST LOCAL ROADS. REPAIRS TO THE WETPOUR SURFACE WILL BE CARRIED OUT ON FRIDAY 23RD APRIL. OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Section 14(1) Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Henley-on-Thames – Red Lane Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 01 March 2021 Coming into force: 08 March 2021 This Order is being introduced because of duct installation works which are anticipated to be completed 16 March 2021. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of Red Lane from the junction of Coates Lane to the junction of Patemore Lane (south of the B481) Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the B41, Patmore Lane, B480, A4130, Watlington street, Priest Hill, Park Corner and vice versa.
