A4155 Henley Road (Flowing Spring) Embankment Remediation
I am writing to inform you that the emergency carriageway repair works currently being undertaken on the A4155 Henley Road (between Playhatch roundabout and Spring Lane) are progressing well despite difficult ground conditions encountered on site.
With this project being a major piece of work, Oxfordshire County Council has taken the opportunity to look more closely at future-proofing in order to mitigate against further disruption to this part of the network. Therefore, taking advantage of the traffic management in place some extra work is being carried out to build resilience into the road and to reduce future maintenance costs. This includes a revised safety barrier scheme, a length of additional carriageway resurfacing, a litter pick and refreshing the road markings at the Flowing Springs pub junction.
Expected Completion Date and Traffic Management
A full road closure of the A4155 has been in place since 29 August whilst the works are being undertaken, with access maintained to properties...

Nettlebed Village Quiz Team.
Do you always shout the answers at the TV when quiz shows are on? Fancy being part of a team that represents Nettlebed against other South Oxfordshire village teams in a league and knockout cup format? Then keep reading.
Nettlebed is one of a league of 13 villages in South Oxfordshire that from October to May play against each other to become quiz champions of the area. Teams of 6 face off against one another with a third village providing the questions. Unlike pub quizzes where the whole team get to confer over the questions you get a question each which if you can answer great, 2 points for the team, if not you pass for another team mate to answer for 1 point. If no one on your team knows, the answer it is passed across to the other team and if they are correct they get a point. Over ten rounds of questions, the team with...
The White Hart is looking for a local Cake Maker/Baker to assist them with 1-2 cakes per week. Each cake needs to be around 14 slices. We sell cake daily from the bar as a deal with a cup of tea or coffee. This could be a great opportunity to advertise your business as it is very popular.
