Many celebrations/ commemorations had been planned across the Country. Understandably, due to the current Lockdown these have all been cancelled. We have however a plan in accordance the rest of the Nation to mark this very important anniversary.

Hello, everyone here at Nettlebed News Network HQ we are on a mission - we are looking to attract more email newsletter subscribers to our list in the village and we want your help, please?
Currently, about 360 people are signed up to receive the village newsletter from Nettlebed News Network but we would like more as there are a lot more people in Nettlebed ... well about double what we have already signed up if you must ... the more we can speak to the better it is for getting out the news, events and information about important village issues, in the future.

What follows is an urgent reminder from the Nettlebed Estate Manager about the importance of dog control.
There was a sheep killed by a dog near Nettlebed yesterday, in a field bordering the Estate Road that heads from the Nettlebed church towards Witheridge Hill/Stoke Row.
Can I ask that dog walkers please have complete control of their dogs at all times and if that’s not possible do not let it off the lead?
A dog chasing sheep causes them extreme stress which can kill them even if they are not attacked directly.
In these difficult times, I appreciate that there are more people than normal needing to take exercise in the countryside but I ask that you respect the property of those who farm the land.

You may have seen the communication and contact list popped through your doors last week listing local residents who are available to help support those who can’t get out for essential supplies. The response from our community to requests for help has been heart-warming and during the challenging times ahead of us, particularly over the next weeks, we will need to work together to support each other and particularly the elderly, medically vulnerable and anyone who becomes unwell.This letter is to give you some contact information as we continue to need everyone’s help to keep an eye on your neighbours, to make sure they are coping and to support them if needed.

Nettlebed Art Society members have taken the sad decision to cancel this year's Art and Craft Show, which was due to take place on 1st and 2nd August in Nettlebed Community School Hall.
We will announce dates for next year later on when Covid-19 has abated.
Meanwhile, whilst all are in isolation, there is a wonderful opportunity to be creative in preparation for 2021 so that we can put on the best show ever.
We would like to thank all those who support us by advertising in our catalogue, and all of you who come and make purchases during the show. We apologise to all those charities and groups to whom we usually make a donation. Hopefully all will be back to normal next year.

Nettlebed Creamery is open every weekday 9:30 am - 4 pm selling organic cheese and milk from the Cheese Hatch.
Please ring the bell and bear with them - the cheesemakers are sometimes busy in another part of the building but will come and serve as soon as they can.
Obviously all protections are taken during the pandemic so contact is kept to absolute minimum.
For pre-orders please email orders@nettlebedcreamery.com they can be collected from the Cheese hatch as well.
